I want to capture the magic I recently experienced and bottle it up and sprinkle it all over the world like sparkly rain.  I wish everyone could be as touched by something as beautiful as what I was so fortunate to stumble upon.  It was magic. Pure sweet sweet magic love that graces one so rarely.  If you are lucky enough to come across this:  love it, appreciate it, honor it and then continue to sprinkle that sparkle everywhere you go!  

The beautifulness that comes from this place is that magic.

BE Happy. Be Tulum.

Darling, it's impossible to be anything but happy at Be Tulum. Recently, I had the pleasure of participating in the "love-ebration" (wedding) of one of my best friends there and it was simply the most delightful environment to celebrate in. Not only was it the most lovely place, it was perfect in almost every single way. Honestly, the staff made you feel like a guest in their own home, the food was delicious, and everywhere you looked was simply wondrous. The bright various blues were a pleasure to take in, seeming to calm and excite you at the very same time. I will tell you, my favorite part was the love that was filling the resort. So thank you Be Tulum for creating such a perfect place to celebrate perfect love. I will be certain to return and hopefully stay in the best room in the house.  Above is a view from the private pool atop that very room.

I love love, all kinds of love. I love love even when the romantic kind doesn't turn out the way you had wished. One of the greatest things in life is to see that love is all around; wherever and whatever it may be - often and especially in the absence of romantic love. Love can be found in the simplest of things: the sight of your puppy galloping to the office with you in anticipation of the man who gives him treats, the lovely woman who gives you free coffee two out of the three times you visit, to the man who sees you are running toward the elevator and holds it open for you. Love is not always about romantic love, some of the most beautiful moments in this life are the small acts of kindness and the most beautiful acts of love. If you open your eyes, darling, you will start to notice that 'love is all around.'

"Paris vs. New York, a tally of two cities." - a new book by Vahram Muratyan based on his blog is an utterly delightful juxtaposition of Paris and New York's classic and poppy iconography presented in the most fanciful illustration.  I was charmed to meet Mr. Muratyan, the artist we should all lavish praise on, last week at his book signing at The Standard and he is just as lovely as you would wish.  Enjoy some of the best eye candy around ;) 

Swimmingly:  marvelously, wonderfully, with great ease and success, effortlessly, like a dream, without a hitch, cozily, like clockwork, with no trouble, and my favorite - like a charm.  

"Go swimmingly" with whatever comes your way.  Face the bumps with some sunny optimism and it always helps to throw in some humor, and you can make it through anything and thoroughly enjoy the journey - sometimes even because of the bumps.
